Manufacturing Engineer

About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing detailed work instructions for the assembly of our state-of-the-art surgical robots. This role requires experience with SolidWorks and a solid understanding of assembly procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write clear, detailed work instructions for the assembly of surgical robots.
• Collaborate with the NPI team to ensure assembly procedures are accurately documented and meet quality standards.
• Utilize SolidWorks to create and interpret engineering drawings and models.
• Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to the optimization of assembly workflows.
• Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure seamless integration of new products into manufacturing.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience creating detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience in developing assembly procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a medical device or robotics environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of medical device manufacturing regulations and standards.
• Experience with new product introduction and process validation.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
