As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the development and improvement of manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting experiments, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, and lean manufacturing principles. You will collaborate with the design team to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability, quality, and balancing functionality, cost, and production efficiency. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of new product introduction (NPI) and identify areas of improvement through analysis of manufacturing operations. Assuring product and process quality by establishing work instructions, process capabilities, designing finished-product testing methods, and validating manufacturing processes through pilot builds will also be part of your responsibilities. You will provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements. Preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends is essential. You will implement manufacturing tests such as Hi-Pot and maintain compliance with agency regulations. Keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, maintaining product and process database, and training production personnel as needed are also key aspects of this role.
