About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer I will provide support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts a continuous search for new materials, processes, and procedures to enhance and improve rms products and processes.
  • Supports the Manufacturing department in development of processes and tooling.
  • Provides problem solving support to maintain a continuous flow of quality products to our customer.
  • Develops and/or designs processes, procedures tools and/or machines used to produce rms products.
  • Works with Quality Engineering to develop capable and certified processes.
  • Provides project management support for plant layout and changes to the manufacturing facility.
  • Supports and leads actions for implementing cost reduction projects.
  • Coordinates and manages all phases of projects from beginning to end, ensuring compliance to customer, industry and rms standards.
  • Creates and maintains accurate information within the Profitkey manufacturing system relative to engineering responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Job requires a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or technology (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, statistical process control, machining practices, properties of materials, and the application of mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and tooling.
  • Must be able to identify root cause and develop appropriate corrective actions.
  • Efficiently integrate existing methods with new innovations, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience with Pro-Engineering, Solidworks, or Auto CAD software.
