The position is responsible for the development and planning of manufacturing processes, including the installation of tools, equipment, gages, and standard work. The role supports the evaluation, purchase, development, and installation of new capital equipment. It involves identifying, developing, justifying, and implementing process improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, and safety and ergonomic improvement projects. The candidate will apply statistical methods to evaluate and improve process capability and estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Additionally, the role provides technical project management support and requires fluency with CNC milling, turning, and grinding applications. The position also includes providing technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations, creating and maintaining accurate work instructions, routings, and BOMs, and the ability to design and model fixture components and assembly tooling using Solidworks or AutoCAD.
