Manufacturing Engineer

About the position

Creative Foam is seeking a dedicated individual to administer and control manufacturing processes related to the manufacturing of Automotive Acoustic products. The role involves developing methods and processes at the most cost-effective level while ensuring quality, quantity, and long-term objectives are met. The position also includes assisting in the maintenance of equipment, tooling, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Facility layout and plant development
• Organization of traffic flow
• Cell development and layout of work areas and part/process flow
• Equipment and vendor development
• Program management including timeline updates
• Detailed problem analysis involving method, machine, man, and process
• Leading 5'S Kaizen teams
• New program and equipment development including automation and Poke Yoke
• Robot programming
• Leading continuous improvement events
• Conducting program reviews at the quote stage
• Creating processes and procedures to meet budgetary goals
• Reviewing manufacturing processes against manufacturing standards
• Utilizing strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities

Requirements

• College or secondary training in electronics and mechanics
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design software
• Familiarity with robot programming languages (Fanuc, ABB)
• Experience with programming ABB, Automation Direct, and other interfaces
• Knowledge of secondary equipment design
• Ability to work in a maintenance and plant environment
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience with emphasis on manufacturing engineering
