Responsibilities
- Lead activities related to equipment characteristic improvement for the Ohio Transmission Plant, High Pressure Die Cast Department.
- Perform true root cause analysis of top problems and implement countermeasures.
- Facilitate department S, Q, and D metric target achievement.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends related to equipment performance.
- Identify improvement opportunities for Key Performance Indicators and for cost avoidance/elimination.
- Become an expert in a specific area of automation technology (i.e. PLC, Motion Control, Robotics, etc.) and train associates on equipment or process changes.
- Manage lifecycle of manufacturing equipment including spare parts, procedures, and preventive maintenance.
- Define and create scope of design and construction for renovation or upgrade of existing electrical systems.
- Conduct PDCA during design and implementation stage and maintain project schedules.
- Review, verify and approve electrical engineering drawings and manage contractors' activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 6 years equivalent related experience.
- Ability to interact in a team environment.
- Experience with PLC Programming, Robotics, Vision Systems, electrical controls, safety systems, servo motor, VFD control, AutoCAD electrical design, MS Office.
