Responsibilities

  • Lead activities related to equipment characteristic improvement for the Ohio Transmission Plant, High Pressure Die Cast Department.
  • Perform true root cause analysis of top problems and implement countermeasures.
  • Facilitate department S, Q, and D metric target achievement.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends related to equipment performance.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for Key Performance Indicators and for cost avoidance/elimination.
  • Become an expert in a specific area of automation technology (i.e. PLC, Motion Control, Robotics, etc.) and train associates on equipment or process changes.
  • Manage lifecycle of manufacturing equipment including spare parts, procedures, and preventive maintenance.
  • Define and create scope of design and construction for renovation or upgrade of existing electrical systems.
  • Conduct PDCA during design and implementation stage and maintain project schedules.
  • Review, verify and approve electrical engineering drawings and manage contractors' activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 6 years equivalent related experience.
  • Ability to interact in a team environment.
  • Experience with PLC Programming, Robotics, Vision Systems, electrical controls, safety systems, servo motor, VFD control, AutoCAD electrical design, MS Office.
