About the position

The Manufacturing Manager at Honda Racing Corporation USA is responsible for overseeing production and manufacturing operations within the Racing Program. This role involves managing production execution, monitoring productivity, and ensuring adherence to operational standards. The Manufacturing Manager will also be involved in strategic business planning, budget management, and organizational development, playing a key role in driving innovation and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee production execution operational standards and changes including parts manufacturing and cost analysis.
  • Monitor productivity performance and establish operational countermeasures to meet business objectives.
  • Manage execution for mid-range to long-term strategic business planning and annual budget planning.
  • Supervise and monitor the performance and accountability of associates.
  • Develop and modify production schedules to optimize efficiency.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment.
  • 7 years of management experience.
  • Experience in establishing mid to long-range business plans and annual operating budgets.
  • Extensive production and prototyping technical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with development and test processes.
  • Knowledge of prototype machining, castings, and treatment processes.
  • Strong budget control and result-oriented skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and inventory control processes.
  • Ability to set targets and goals using SMART principles.
  • Experience in providing creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Understanding of quality assurance inspection and measurement methods.
  • Experience in mentoring and teaching effective technical and performance management techniques.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
