About the position
The Manufacturing Process Operator in Training at Elanco is responsible for performing various tasks associated with production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role emphasizes adherence to cGMP standards, safety protocols, and environmental compliance while contributing to departmental goals related to quality, quantity, and cost. The position is a fixed-duration role with potential for renewal and offers a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Perform production operations according to cGMP standards.
- Assist in maintaining departmental inspection readiness through self-inspection and daily housekeeping.
- Follow documentation and verification guidelines for all relevant documents.
- Suggest and implement safety improvements in the workplace.
- Work in a team environment to identify process and safety concerns.
- Learn and operate various large-scale processing equipment, including dryers, mills, and forklifts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Basic computer skills and good documentation skills.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to routinely handle 50-pound packages.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in the use of forklifts and other equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills.
