About the position

The Manufacturing Technician III, Mechanic - Device Assembly position at Resilience involves operating and maintaining various packaging equipment in a biomanufacturing environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of production processes and requires a strong technical background, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with team members to resolve equipment issues. The position starts with a Monday to Friday schedule for the first 12 months, transitioning to a 12-hour shift pattern thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance tasks on various packaging equipment.
  • Act as a first-line technical resource for the team and provide technical support to production technicians.
  • Proactively monitor equipment conditions and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform technician tasks including start-up, equipment operation, manual packaging, and material handling.
  • Operate light material handling equipment as needed.
  • Monitor material quality and escalate concerns to Lead Technician and Process Facilitator.
  • Perform batch records, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries.
  • Familiarize with job-related safety procedures and report discrepancies.
  • Support lean activities and process improvement work.
  • Act as a certified OJT trainer on assigned equipment or process tasks.
  • Review process documents for accuracy and suggest process improvements.
  • Execute protocols for equipment qualification and process validation work.
  • Support other work areas within the Process Execution Team as needed.

Requirements

  • Acquire and maintain all required certifications and qualifications for the assigned work area.
  • Strong mechanical and electronic knowledge and aptitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable and motivated to learn new skills and develop new capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in biomanufacturing or pharmaceutical environments.
  • Familiarity with cGMP regulations and quality assurance processes.
