The Market Asset Protection Manager is a pivotal role within Bass Pro Shops, responsible for overseeing the Asset Protection program across multiple retail locations. This position reports directly to the Regional Asset Protection Manager and plays a crucial role in safeguarding the company's assets, which include personnel, property, and proprietary information. The Market Asset Protection Manager is tasked with proactively managing and enhancing the Safety, Security, and Compliance functions within the retail environment, aiming to improve profitability by reducing shrink and mitigating risks associated with theft and fraud. In this role, the manager will lead all internal and external investigations related to criminal activities, ensuring that theft and fraud exposure is minimized. A significant part of the job involves fostering a culture of shrink elimination by educating all levels of Outfitters on asset protection initiatives. The manager will identify and implement operational changes and training improvements to address profit loss and shrinkage, measured through regular audits, validations, and business reviews. The Market Asset Protection Manager will also maintain inventory shrink reduction efforts, which includes training both Outfitters and Retail Managers on loss prevention trends. The effectiveness of these efforts will be assessed through awareness training, daily reports, and physical inventory results. Additionally, the manager will conduct timely and effective investigations that limit liability and reduce the overall impact on the company's financial performance. Collaboration with store leadership and the development of professional partnerships with regulatory agencies and law enforcement will be essential to enhance retail operations and ensure a safe environment for both employees and customers.
