About the position

Join our award-winning communications team and develop exciting, high-profile content for print, digital, advertising, public relations, and internal communication channels. In this role, you will utilize your strong writing, editing, problem-solving, decision-making, and research skills to promote PACCAR Parts, Kenworth, Peterbilt, and TRP products and services. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage high-impact projects, and assume a leadership role in a variety of marketing communication projects and programs. Your primary responsibility will be to understand the objectives and needs of the organization to develop communications strategies that influence public opinion and promote ideas, products, and services. You will develop, write, edit, and execute a wide variety of communications material for PACCAR Parts' internal and external audiences, including dealer publications, news releases, employee newsletters, and annual report updates. Additionally, you will develop and implement communications and programs that drive employee engagement, culture, and inclusion. You will provide content support for social media, email campaigns, and executive speechwriting, while maintaining a consistent brand voice and messaging across all PACCAR Parts communications channels. Collaboration is key, as you will work with internal and external resources, cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and vendors in the development of marketing communications materials. Strong communication and organizational skills will be essential as you manage marketing communications projects and analyze and report metrics on communication effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the objectives and needs of the organization to develop communications strategies that influence public opinion and promote ideas, products, and services.
  • Develop, write, edit and execute a wide variety of communications material for PACCAR Parts' internal and external audiences, including dealer publications, news releases, employee newsletters, and annual report updates.
  • Develop and implement communications and programs that drive employee engagement, culture, and inclusion.
  • Provide content support for social media, email campaigns, and executive speechwriting.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all PACCAR Parts communications channels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources, cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and vendors in the development of marketing communications materials.
  • Apply strong communication and organizational skills to manage marketing communications projects.
  • Analyze and report metrics on communication effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Advertising, or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of two years professional communications experience with an emphasis on writing, editing and project management.
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills to effectively manage projects and drive results.
  • Ability to collaborate, interact and develop productive and professional relationships with all levels of PACCAR management, internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Experience with Meltwater or other media monitoring platforms is a plus.
  • Writing samples are required - preferred published writing samples.
