About the position

The Marketing Communications Specialist plays a crucial role within an integrated content team, focusing on generating high-quality content that supports marketing initiatives across corporate, portfolio, and product levels. This position reports to the Marketing Communications Manager and is integral to the Content Development Center of Excellence (CoE). The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to create content that aligns with integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring that all materials are consistent, impactful, and reflective of the Molex brand. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for developing a wide range of content and collateral, including New Product Release packages. The position requires strong customer service and communication skills, as well as regular reporting on project statuses. The ideal candidate will be a proficient writer capable of translating complex technical concepts into engaging narratives that resonate with prospects and customers. Key responsibilities include collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to generate ideas and develop content, managing the creation and delivery of global New Product Releases, and producing various marketing materials such as blogs, email campaigns, web copy, case studies, and social media posts. The specialist will also serve as an editor for content produced by other marketing teams, ensuring adherence to the Molex editorial style guide and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency. Additionally, the role involves advising marketing teams on effective content development strategies throughout the buyer's journey, incorporating SEO best practices, and managing multiple content-related projects simultaneously. The specialist will track and analyze the effectiveness of content development programs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Overall, this position is vital for enhancing the Molex brand and driving audience engagement through strategic content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs to curate ideas and develop impactful content.
  • Manage the development and delivery of global New Product Releases.
  • Develop collateral, blogs, email, web copy, case studies, video scripts, and social posts.
  • Serve as an editor and reviewer of content created by other marketing teams.
  • Align content development resources to support marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Advise marketing teams on content development strategies for the buyer's journey.
  • Incorporate SEO keyword usage and research into content.
  • Project manage multiple content-related activities simultaneously.
  • Coordinate the development of content by managing the interview process with SMEs and writers.
  • Execute projects in the Wrike project management platform with cross-functional team members.
  • Manage the translation process of content assets as needed.
  • Track, analyze, and report on content development program efficacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing communications and writing.
  • Experience in content development and editing for a technology-focused corporation.
  • Ability to communicate technical topics in a digestible narrative.
  • Knowledge in writing content for marketing areas including collateral development, PR, web, and social media.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
