About the position

The Marketing Communications Specialist at Stanford Federal Credit Union is responsible for developing compelling marketing content across various platforms, including ads, social media, newsletters, and web content. This role requires collaboration with a fast-paced marketing team to ensure brand consistency and compliance with financial services regulations. The Specialist will leverage their writing skills and marketing knowledge to enhance member engagement and support the credit union's mission of improving financial lives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and compelling copy for marketing communications such as ads, social media posts, newsletters, email, web, video scripts, Q&As, and product descriptions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce creative campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
  • Proactively review, edit, and update existing website and email copy.
  • Conduct research and interview product experts to develop deep product knowledge.
  • Apply best practices for each marketing channel and remain knowledgeable about audience needs.
  • Manage writing projects as assigned and maintain working knowledge of financial products and services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience writing a variety of marketing communications including ad copy, social media posts, and product descriptions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Clear understanding of SEO and audience communication needs.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, website CMS, and email marketing.
