About the position

The Marketing Specialist at Spectrum plays a crucial role in supporting marketing initiatives across various sales channels. This position requires a blend of strong organizational, creative, and fundamental marketing skills to effectively execute marketing programs aimed at driving sales for business Internet, phone, and TV services. The role is primarily on-site in Stamford, with one day of hybrid work each week. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the marketing team and coordinate with internal teams, including product and sales, as well as external agencies, to translate sales and marketing strategies into effective programs for sales campaigns. This includes the development of various marketing collateral such as PowerPoint presentations, tradeshow materials, case studies, white papers, and email newsletters. In addition to supporting the development of sales materials to enhance lead generation and conversion, the Marketing Specialist will collaborate with internal strategy teams to identify key customer segments and create unique, sales-driven messaging tailored to each segment. Upholding the Charter Business brand across all sales support mediums is essential, ensuring that all materials reflect the brand's core values and messaging. The role also requires a deep understanding of Charter's products and services, and the ability to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Actively and consistently support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including marketing, product, and sales, as well as external agencies to translate sales and marketing strategies into effective programs for sales campaigns.
  • Develop collateral, PowerPoint presentations, tradeshow materials, case studies, white papers, and email newsletters.
  • Support the development of sales materials to improve sales lead generation and conversion.
  • Identify key customer segments and develop applicable, unique sales-driven messaging for each.
  • Uphold the Charter Business brand in all sales support mediums including collateral, PowerPoint presentations, case studies, and tradeshow materials.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Charter core values and products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of corporate marketing or agency experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Extensive background with the creative development process; embodies creative best practices and visionary thinking to uniquely solve marketing challenges.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously.
  • Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects.
  • Strong attention to detail, balanced with the ability to think strategically.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Overall proficiency with common desktop applications.
