About the position

GNB Global Inc. is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As the industry leader in tension fabric structures, we specialize in building prefabricated structures for various sectors, including data centers, warehousing, oil and gas companies, and shelters for remote mining operations. Our company is experiencing rapid growth with multiple projects across Canada and the USA, and we are looking for a Marketing Specialist who can contribute to our ongoing success. This role is pivotal in planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies that promote GNB's products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity and analytical skills, demonstrating strong organizational abilities to manage diverse projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for enhancing existing marketing programs and assisting in the development of new initiatives. This includes working across various channels such as digital, print, social media, email, and events. In this role, you will establish a tradeshow strategy, conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs, create engaging content for digital platforms, and analyze marketing data to measure campaign success. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing relationships with external vendors, and staying updated on industry trends are also key components of this position. The Marketing Specialist will support the marketing director and leadership in developing industry-leading marketing campaigns, managing budgets, and executing promotional strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, email, tradeshows and events.
  • Establish a tradeshow strategy and execution plan to acquire sales opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Create engaging content for digital platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, and email newsletters.
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and design, to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, such as advertising agencies, graphic designers, and printers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging marketing technologies to keep the company's marketing efforts innovative.
  • Support the marketing director, sales, and leadership to develop industry-leading marketing campaigns, setting objectives, organizing promotional campaigns and updating calendars.
  • Manage budgets, purchasing, and expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing, content creation, or related areas.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, social media management tools, email marketing software, Microsoft Office, and content management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task with ease.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A background in the construction field would be an asset.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a self-imposed desire to exceed everyday expectations.
  • Familiarity with SEO and SEM best practices would be an asset.
  • Experience with graphic design or video editing software would be preferred.
  • The ability to travel in both the US and Canada.
  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools, like Salesforce or Zoho.
  • Experience with marketing automation services like HubSpot.
  • Experience with web development and WordPress.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns with Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
