As a Business Process Architect for Master Data Management (MDM) & Data Governance within the Applied Global Service (AGS) business unit, you will play a pivotal role in leading the governance and improvement of various Master Data Management programs, including customer, materials, and install base data. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that master data governance aligns with the business needs, providing ongoing management and oversight to support these initiatives. You will evaluate and drive AGS data management processes, defining best practices and processes that enhance efficiencies across install base, locations, customer, products, and vendor data management. In this role, you will lead the process and solution design, acting as a liaison with the IT organization to create a single source of truth through MDM solutions. You will identify and define strategies to integrate master data with other operational systems, ensuring that master data is leveraged efficiently and effectively. Tracking the team's progress, identifying risks and issues, and proactively communicating these to leadership will be essential. You will also communicate technical dependencies to relevant teams, establishing coordination for seamless implementation of individual components. Your leadership will extend to managing the team on MDM-specific activities, such as defining cleanse rules, survivorship, and match rules. Collaboration with various technical teams and business users will be crucial for development, quality assurance, and production support for master data management. You will ensure adherence to data quality standards within the organization and provide thought leadership and direction to business process owners regarding master data. Additionally, you will document and maintain data processes and flows across MDM and other applications for AGS, developing and measuring metrics focused on data analytics and data quality. Collaboration with teams in other business units will be necessary to ensure adherence to policies and processes that support data management.
