About The Position

The Material Handler position at Altec involves receiving and delivering parts and materials to designated stocking areas, as well as picking, packing, and shipping products to various departments, divisions, and customers. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift or picker experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Computer skills, with bar-coding experience a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, such as engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas.
• Pick, pack, and ship products to other departments, divisions, and customers.
• Provide quality and timely work on each job performed.
• Follow all established safety and quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support APS initiatives - Lean Manufacturing.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Utilize computer programs, including learning Oracle database and Altec Navigator.
