About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of and ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Manual dexterity and knowledge of safety procedures while performing materials handling tasks.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Physically handle materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure optimized movement.
• Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, which may require specialized training.
• Respond to training from foreman or senior handlers to increase knowledge of work processes.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attend periodic safety meetings and recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
