About the position

Stream-Flo is one of the largest privately held companies providing wellheads, gate valves, check valves, and surface safety systems for the worldwide oil and gas industry. As a Material Handler Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and repair of equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving all incoming used equipment, including C/P and Rental items. You will assist in training fellow employees on proper repair procedures, ensuring that all equipment is repaired consistently and in accordance with approved methods. Additionally, you will establish and advise on inventory level requirements for repair parts, ensuring that all necessary components are available for efficient operations. Your responsibilities will also include recording repair parts, farm-out charges, and labor on the repair working copy, as well as expediting shipments of equipment. You will verify the accuracy of receiving documentation and assist Wellhead Technicians in AT&P as required. Maintaining housekeeping standards to conform to SFI standards will also be a key part of your role. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong organizational abilities who can work independently while staying current with relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all incoming used equipment including C/P and Rental.
  • Assist in the training of fellow employees on proper repair procedures and ensure all equipment is repaired in a consistent approved manner.
  • Establish and advise inventory level requirements of repair parts.
  • Ensure repair parts, farm-out charges, and labor is recorded on the repair working copy.
  • Expedite shipments of equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of receiving documentation to supplied documentation.
  • Assist Wellhead Technicians in AT&P as required.
  • Maintain housekeeping to conform to SFI standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • A technical school certificate or inventory management training would be an asset.
  • Computer skills are an asset and will be required as a job function.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Stream-Flo and competitors' equipment would be an asset.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational abilities and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable abstract.
