You will be responsible for pulling, packing, and wrapping metal bar, sheet, plate, and tube to be picked up by customers in our one-of-a-kind will call department. The team helps ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment is always maintained in the warehouse. You will undergo a detailed onboarding training program that gives you hands-on experience within all departments and shifts, ensuring you feel fully prepared for your job duties. You will learn to use our business software program to pull inventory and process orders. Your attention to detail will ensure customer material is of the highest quality for our customers, every time. Daily, you will fulfill many orders in a fast-paced environment, which will include moving material with a forklift, and you may be required to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout your shift.
Responsibilities
- Pull, pack, and wrap metal bar, sheet, plate, and tube for customer pickup.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Quality System while handling materials.
- Use tape measures, calipers, or micrometers to confirm material dimensions as requested by customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse.
- Participate in a detailed onboarding training program to learn job duties and software usage.
- Fulfill orders in a fast-paced environment, including moving materials with a forklift.
Requirements
- Ability to use calipers and micrometers for measuring materials.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
- Entry-level position, no prior experience required.
