Material & Supply Handler

About the position

The Material and Supply Handler position at American Crystal Sugar Company involves physically measuring and inventorying chemical and fuel levels in various tanks at the factory. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the safe handling of materials and supplies within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Physically measure and inventory chemical and fuel levels in various tanks.
• Maintain a daily inventory of chemical usage.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to the position.
• Load and unload materials as delivered to the factory, storing and distributing where needed.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
• Open containers and load/unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure them to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Operate industrial truck, electric hoist, and forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Perform all duties in compliance with Company Safety and Sanitation policies.
• Use all required safety equipment to perform assigned tasks.
• Work overtime as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate is required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Forklift certification must be obtained.
