About the position

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is an extra important role! The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant's goals and builds a plan to achieve those goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Swing Managers, and Floor Supervisors to run a profitable restaurant, and leading a high level of QSC.
  • Assist all managers with their own goals, follow up on their progress, and provide feedback to improve their performances.
  • Adhere to McDonald's Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards and Food Safety standards set by McDonald's and the State Health Department.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings and discussing department opportunities and progress.
  • Attend weekly and monthly meeting.
  • Oversee and manage the restaurant P&L to hit monthly goals.
  • Lead the People Department manager by making sure the restaurant communicates all hiring needs, development ongoing training for all employees, follow ups, employee retention, and reviewing all people scorecard metrics.
  • Conduct some administrative duties including employee documentation, weekly reporting, and payroll.
  • Reviewing operational metrics daily and creating evolving actions plan to improve operational metrics.
  • Responsible for hitting monthly labor goals including approving hours added, overtime, and effectively creating crew schedules.
  • Responsible for making practical restaurant decisions for example: hiring, firing, handling employees raise.
  • Available to work a minimum of 45 hours a week.
  • Must be available to work open and close shifts.
  • Must be on call during hours of operations.

Requirements

  • Experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to adhere to quality and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in managing P&L and operational metrics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of McDonald's operational standards.
  • Previous experience in a franchise setting.
