About the position

Triton Systems is seeking a Mechanical Analysis Engineer with 3-7 years of experience to support both internal teams and external customers with advanced simulation expertise. The role involves building, running, and interpreting simulations using COMSOL and other Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for various multiphysics analyses, including structural, thermal, electromagnetics, fluid dynamics, and dynamic analyses. The ideal candidate will possess strong coding skills, particularly in MATLAB and Python, and will be capable of developing AI/ML tools as deliverable software products for customers. Innovation and technical problem-solving will be a major part of the role, along with the ability to work productively with a diverse team of researchers. Excellence in technical writing, documentation, and presentations is required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively. The essential duties and responsibilities include defining, building, executing, and interpreting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models to support internal and external customers across a wide range of applications. Analyses may include structural, thermal, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), electromagnetics, composite (orthotropic) structures, multibody assemblies, nonlinear materials, acoustics, contact, impact, and more. The candidate will also be responsible for building and modifying CAD models in SolidWorks/COMSOL as necessary for simulations, performing physical testing and/or benchmarking to validate and verify model results, and developing and delivering AI/ML tools as customer-facing products. Additionally, the candidate will write and maintain MATLAB/Python code to support model development, serve as both an individual contributor and a project team lead, thoroughly document project progress and results, and present technical findings to customers and internal teams. Taking ownership of project success and maintaining customer relationships will also be key aspects of the role, along with coordinating simulation requests and balancing a diverse portfolio of simulation tasks to support engineers throughout the company.
