About the position

The Mechanical Engineer Intern position at TTI involves working under the guidance of a Senior Engineer to apply entry-level engineering skills in the design and development of new products, as well as supporting existing products. The intern will participate in team projects, conduct design analysis, and assist with testing, contributing to the overall engineering efforts within the department.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a key member of a team working on projects of a large scope.
• Conduct design analysis and perform a variety of calculations and software-aided analysis.
• Review designs and perform dimensional cross-checking of new and existing components.
• Execute design modifications and conceptual designs for rapid prototyping and feasibility assessment.
• Create CAD models and detail drawings in Unigraphics or Solidworks.
• Independently write test requests to the test laboratory based on established procedures.
• Design new experiments and test systems.
• Perform or assist with testing and analyze data to draw logical conclusions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Good working technical discipline and ability to research new information quickly for specific projects.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical status to the Engineering Supervisor and project team.
