As a member of the Global Engineering organization, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of the regionally agreed Exco capex program. This includes implementing and maintaining the Global Engineering strategy within the company, supporting the Americas Lead Engineering Manager in planning and managing project priorities, ensuring projects are properly planned and executed, and supporting the implementation of the Flora Food Group Sustainability program. The role also involves ensuring compliance with FFG Engineering and QA standards and building relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the regionally agreed Exco capex program.
• Implement and maintain the Global Engineering strategy within the company.
• Support the Americas Lead Engineering Manager in planning and managing project priorities for the region.
• Ensure projects are properly planned, executed safely, OTIF, within budget, and successfully handed over to the respective Sourcing Unit team.
• Support the implementation of the Flora Food Group Sustainability program.
• Ensure delivery of projects within scope via the locally based Global Engineering team, Central Global Engineering, or EPCM’s.
• Provide input and approval on capital proposals for the region prior to submission to the Global Engineering Director.
• Ensure due diligence and compliance of projects with FFG Engineering and QA standards and local obligations.
• Continuously strive to find the latest technologies and methods to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
• Take personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on projects.
• Contribute to leading and developing engineering talent within the organization and region.
• Build durable relationships with preferred suppliers and contractors for reliability and cost optimization.

Requirements

• 10+ years in FMCG or related industry.
• Operated at senior project manager level.
• PMO capabilities and experience in large scale multi-disciplined projects.
• Fulfilled a variety of engineering and supply chain projects with a track record of delivery.
• Project engineering/management experience.
• Leadership skills in Process Engineering with the ability to handle complex multi-site projects.
• Responsibility for project successes and providing strong direction for teams.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills (both verbal and written).
• Attained Professional Engineer Status.
• Flexibility to travel intra- and inter-continentally.
