As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in various aspects of mechanical system design, including conducting field surveys of existing mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems. You will prepare construction documents, specifications, drawings, and calculations, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary standards and codes. The role also involves designing mechanical systems for a variety of projects, including healthcare facilities, institutional buildings, and educational institutions. You will perform quality reviews of mechanical designs and may serve as a project manager, leading a team and providing guidance to other disciplines on mechanically driven projects. Responsibilities

  • Field survey of existing mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, drawings, and calculations
  • Design mechanical systems for a variety of projects including healthcare as well as institutional and educational facilities
  • Perform quality reviews of mechanical designs
  • Serve as project manager at times, leading the team and providing guidance to other disciplines for mechanically driven projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • EIT/FE certification (PE licensure is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of state building codes
  • Experienced in engineering design using AutoCAD and Revit
