About the position

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing fluid systems for various applications. This role involves creating detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD software, performing thermal and mechanical calculations to ensure system efficiency and reliability, and selecting appropriate components and materials to meet performance and cost targets. The engineer will lead and manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met, while coordinating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams. Additional responsibilities include preparing project documentation, conducting simulations and prototype testing, analyzing test data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical support to customers and sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal and mechanical calculations to ensure system efficiency and reliability.

  • Lead and manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Prepare project documentation, including design reports, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Conduct simulations and prototype testing to validate design performance.
  • Analyze test data and implement design modifications to improve system performance.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in refrigeration and chiller technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and propose new design concepts.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support to customers and sales teams.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues in the field.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on system operation and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Pressure Vessel / Piping System design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks and related PDM).
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Experience with simulation and analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
  • Experience with CFD Thermal and Static Structural analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ASHRAE, AHRI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with DFM principles and manufacturing processes and quality control.
