As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in various aspects of mechanical system design, including conducting field surveys of existing mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems. You will prepare construction documents, specifications, drawings, and calculations, and design mechanical systems for a variety of projects, including healthcare, institutional, and educational facilities. The role also includes performing quality reviews of mechanical designs and occasionally serving as a project manager, leading the team and providing guidance to other disciplines on mechanically driven projects. Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys of existing mechanical, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, drawings, and calculations.
  • Design mechanical systems for a variety of projects including healthcare, institutional, and educational facilities.
  • Perform quality reviews of mechanical designs.
  • Serve as project manager at times, leading the team and providing guidance to other disciplines for mechanically driven projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • EIT/FE certification (PE licensure is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of state building codes.
  • Experience in engineering design using AutoCAD and Revit.
