About the position

The Mechanical Engineer at Oxford Global Resources is a pivotal role that involves managing multiple projects from their initial concept through to mass production. This position is integral to a collaborative team environment, where the engineer will provide project management and technical direction to ensure the successful and timely implementation of new products. The role requires a proactive approach to monitoring and analyzing mechanical devices to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the development process. In this position, the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing and testing devices aimed at improving performance and efficiency. This includes recommending design changes, implementing cost reductions, enhancing warranty processes, and addressing manufacturing challenges. The engineer will conduct thorough analyses of test results to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration with marketing teams and vendors is essential, as the engineer will provide detailed product specifications to support their efforts. Additionally, the Mechanical Engineer will perform root cause analyses to identify problems and work towards effective resolutions. Oversight of all required engineering qualification tests is a critical aspect of the role, ensuring compliance with all external parties involved in the projects. The engineer will also be tasked with writing product specifications, documenting test results, preparing product operating instructions, and reviewing technical literature to support the development process. Participation in test runs or field installations is also expected, providing hands-on experience and insights into product performance in real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Industry experience with SolidWorks.
  • Previous experience working with high-speed production machinery.
