About The Position

We are seeking a bright, hardworking candidate interested in working in a fast paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills allowing them to achieve in a strong, supportive, team environment. As a member of the Engineering Team, you will directly support a highly automated, three-shift manufacturing operation. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and other Engineering resources to ensure equipment uptime and on-time delivery of quality products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Experience managing mechanical projects.
  • Ability to understand and assess complex Engineering issues.
  • Ability to lead teams in a cross functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impact to production.
  • Proficient in Solidworks or other 3D CAD software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office suite.
  • Ability to multi-task, supporting several projects with various priority levels.
  • Strong organization skills - managing Information from multiple locations and sources.
  • Ability to work both independently and within teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Plastic Injection Molding, Vibration Welding, Spin Welding, Flow/Leak testing, and high-volume automation.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks.
  • Meaningful work experiences with examples of successful engineering projects.
  • Working knowledge of PLC's and machine controls.
  • Experience with Fanuc or other robotic platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering solutions that result in Continuous Improvement in the areas of Safety, Uptime, and Quality.
  • Use data to identify process conditions and develop solutions.
  • Work with Maintenance Team on emergency repairs, implementing corrective actions, and developing procedures/training materials.
  • Assign and follow up on planned and unplanned repairs.
  • Communicate and coordinate information to and from internal and external customers.
  • Setup spare parts and order material as needed.
  • Develop specification for upgraded and new equipment.
  • Update / create procedural documents and tooling drawing related to process improvements.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Remain flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
  • Support Corporate and Local Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) Goals related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment.
