About the position

Kettering Health is a not-for-profit system of 13 medical centers and more than 120 outpatient facilities serving southwest Ohio. Soin Medical Center has been serving residents of Greene, Western Clark, Eastern Montgomery, and Miami counties since 2012. Conveniently located off I-675 in Beavercreek, Soin provides a variety of health care services and is home to 4 accredited Centers of Excellence including hernia and robotic surgery. In 2020, Soin received an 'A' from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States. Soin also received 4 Star Baby-Friendly Hospital status by the Ohio Hospital Association and several awards from Healthgrades, including the Patient Safety Excellence Award and Outstanding Patient Experience Award from 2017 to 2019.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including appointment, reappointment, proctoring, privileging, and provisional status for assigned physicians and allied health professionals in compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Performs diversified duties of considerable responsibility under minimal supervision.
  • Works collaboratively with physicians, allied health practitioners and other hospital and network personnel.
  • Facilitates all aspects of Medical Staff Office functions.
  • Works collaboratively to maintain open communication with physicians, allied health practitioners, and other hospital personnel.
  • Assists with accreditation survey preparation.
  • Assists hospital credentials committee with development of privilege criteria and privilege delineations.

Requirements

  • Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) from the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS). If not certified upon initial hire, the employee has one year to obtain certification.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
