About the position

The Media Buyer purchases advertising space strategically and ensures advertisements effectively reach target audiences while optimizing cost and impact. He/She analyzes media channels, negotiates rates, manages budgets, and monitors campaign performance to achieve desired results.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in using media buying platforms like Meta Business Manager, managing all stages of the campaign life (setup, launch, optimization, evaluation, reporting)
  • Manage campaigns across multiple platforms, with large advertising budgets daily while monitoring performance and adjusting strategy as necessary
  • Develop comprehensive media strategies and plans aligned with campaign objectives and KPIs across multiple channels and platforms to drive ticket sales, product sales, engagement, and brand growth
  • Closely monitor the performance of ongoing campaigns and key marketing metrics using analytics tools (GA4), identify opportunities for advanced optimization, and help oversee the testing of new strategies to improve results and ROAS
  • Continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing, bid strategies, and audience segmentation to maximize performance
  • Analyze campaign metrics, find key insights and explain performance through in-depth reporting
  • Implement sophisticated audience segmentation and retargeting strategies
  • Produce regular reports on performance, interpret data, establish benchmarks, and provide actionable plans and recommendations based on insights
  • Conduct market and audience research to inform media decisions
  • Manage, optimize and track budgets
  • Assist the accounting department with media spend, invoicing and billing for paid media
  • Identify creative opportunities for ads, write copy and work closely with designers and video editors to create paid media assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, content, and product teams) to align ad creatives and messaging with brand goals
  • Assist in the curation and creation of high performing ad content using photo, video, graphics
  • Test the performance of ad creatives and copy, page design, and other campaign elements to improve results
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging trends, industry best practices and new technologies to stay ahead of the competition

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing campaigns and ad strategies either in-house or at an agency
  • Proven track record of building and optimizing campaigns for Paid Social, SEM/Paid Search, and/or Programmatic Buys (Preferred Platforms: Facebook/ Instagram, Google Ads, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok)
  • Experienced in-House Paid Media Strategist and Media Buyer, with a strong background in Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Google Ads to drive high-performing digital advertising campaigns
  • Experienced in maximizing results out of full-funnel digital advertising, DTC and lead generation-focused
  • Proficient in platforms such as Facebook Ad Manager and Google Ad Manager
  • Experience using direct response and lead generation advertising strategies successfully
  • Able to work with tracking pixels, conversion APIs and UTMs - understanding their functionality, creation, and implementation
  • Thorough understanding of landing page best practices for conversion goals and click attribution
  • Copywriting and paid social content creation experience
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of data-driven performance marketing and the ability to interpret key metrics
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Proficiency in Shopify and a solid understanding of e-commerce conversion funnels
  • Familiar with Shopify reports, GA4, LookerStudio, or other data visualization software
  • Experience or understanding of DSP's and programmatic buying is a plus
  • Experience in entertainment or events industry is a plus
