About the position

As a Media Buyer on 829 Studios Paid Media team, you will be responsible for crafting media recommendations, planning programmatic campaigns, and executing media buys directly in a variety of platforms. As part of a comprehensive Paid Media team, the Media Buyer position is expected to coordinate closely with search, social and other channels to maximize the return on clients' marketing spend and drive towards client business objectives. Media buyers are responsible for analyzing and interpreting analytics, determining the optimal medium and placement for marketing campaigns, and implementing optimizations directly in platform.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the target audience and campaign requirements by performing market research and analyzing demographics, media usage, psychographics, and buying patterns.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, plan and purchase digital media through major programmatic and paid social platforms, including display, direct display, video, CTV/OTT/PTV, and Private Market Places (PMPs) across desktop, in-mobile browser and in-mobile app, as well as Meta Ads.
  • Actively manage incoming and outgoing creative assets and implement ad rotations, targeting, and supplemental tracking for assigned accounts.
  • Manage budgets and monitor campaigns costs and ROI metrics.
  • Take ownership of complete ad server setup (trafficking) and conversion pixel creation, placement, and testing on behalf of advertisers.
  • Perform thorough quality assurance and analysis of creative assets and third party ad tags.
  • Ensure media strategies are aligned to KPIs to drive optimal campaign performance.
  • Monitor campaign performance and own all programmatic optimizations.
  • Cultivate an understanding of how all digital channels work together to deliver a holistic media plan, including paid search and social.
  • Provide guidance and work alongside an internal cross-functional team.
  • Present media recommendations and participate in client-facing activities as needed.
  • Ensure high levels of campaign performance, client satisfaction, and retention.
  • Facilitate new and existing partner/vendor relationships to support and strengthen our service offering.
  • Collaborate with search and social operators to integrate programmatic media buying concepts across key accounts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital media planning and buying, with site direct and programmatic being a plus.
  • Experience in Demand Side Platform (DSP) executions and knowledge of operations.
  • Experience with Meta Ads campaign management and optimization.
  • Proficient with DSPs (Basis, DV360, SimpliFi, TTD), Ad Servers (Campaign Manager), Web Analytics (Google Analytics).
  • Knowledge of remarketing and advanced targeting tactics, including dynamic creative, CRM, site retargeting, search retargeting, keyword contextual, affinity, look-a-like, predictive, etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other SEM management is a plus.
