About the position
The Medical Assistant in Telehealth - Dermatology at DirectDerm plays a crucial role in enhancing the delivery of high-quality dermatology care. This position involves direct patient interaction, assisting dermatologists, and ensuring efficient coordination of patient care through a secure web and mobile platform. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient service.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients and describing the nature of the service provided.
- Rooming patients and verifying medical histories.
- Taking high-quality digital images of patients' skin conditions following specific guidelines.
- Assisting on calls to coordinate patient care with DirectDerm's Call Service Center and Medical Clinics.
- Assisting dermatologists in clinics and procedures.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (Required).
- BLS Certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- Strong phone etiquette.
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Certified Medical Assistant.
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum of 1 year MA experience preferred, but new Medical Assistant graduates are welcome.
- Computer/tech savvy.
- Detail and quality oriented.
- Self-starter who thrives on change and challenge.
