Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
  • Active medical assistant certification through recognized organizations (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA) is required for certain specialties.
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire is required.
  • May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or 2 years of prior experience in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling.
  • Measure vital signs and collect health history from patients.
  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, and dressing changes.
  • Assist with immunizations or injections as a certified medical assistant.
  • Help patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks.
  • Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function tests, blood glucose tests, and urine pregnancy tests.
  • Maintain clean and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
  • Travel to assist other local clinics as required.
