About The Position

The Medical Assistant at Peachtree Dunwoody Medical Associates plays a crucial role in providing nursing assistance and patient care within a primary care Internal Medicine practice. This position is dedicated to ensuring the comfort, safety, and personal needs of adult patients in the Greater Atlanta area, while supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality medical care.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course is preferred.
• One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.

Nice To Haves

• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients.
• Assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Performs a variety of patient care duties as delegated by the supervising physician(s).
• Specific duties and responsibilities will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
