About The Position

The Medical Assistant in Pediatric Urgent Care at Sutter Health provides essential clinical and clerical support to healthcare providers and the patient care team. Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program as specified by the Medical Board of California or equivalent Sutter Health training.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• MA Certification by a California Medical Board recognized agency (required for incentive in 2025).
• 1 year of recent relevant experience in a medical setting.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in Urgent Care and/or Pediatrics is strongly preferred.
• General knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and terminology.
