About the position

The Medical Front Office Clerk position at Huntington Hill Imaging Center is a full-time role focused on providing excellent patient care and support in a medical office environment. The clerk will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for greeting and checking them in, managing patient records, and coordinating communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Verify necessary information and record it in the medical record.
• Maintain and update current information on physicians and technologists' schedules.
• Answer telephone calls, screen calls, take messages, and provide information.
• Answer questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
• Assemble patients' charts for the next day visit.
• Update profiles on all patients.
• Oversee the waiting area, coordinate patient movement, and report problems or irregularities.
• Call referring physicians' offices for orders and/or correct orders.
• Perform other front office tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office or imaging center setting.
• Word processing and computer experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic medical terminology and computer skills.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance both Commercial and Managed Care.
• Basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
