About The Position

The Medical Office Coordinator at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge Primary Care is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure high-quality and efficient patient care. This role involves managing front office functions, patient relations, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. The coordinator will work closely with staff to maintain effective communication and prioritize work activities, contributing to a supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • One year of medical office experience is required.
  • Graduate from a recognized training facility for medical assistants is preferred.
  • Course-work in healthcare office management is preferred.
  • RMA, CMA, or LPN license is beneficial.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
  • Handle patient complaints appropriately.
  • Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities and evaluating effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Manage filing and retrieving medical records and patient information.
  • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of patient charge entry into the billing system and assist with collecting and recording co-pays.
