About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Cardiovascular at Bristol-Myers Squibb is a field-based role focused on establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and thought leaders. The MSL is responsible for driving scientific exchange, enhancing medical education, and ensuring patient access to BMS medicines. This position requires a strong understanding of the medical landscape, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and clinical trial activities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify disease and product-related medical needs in a defined geography.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Community Thought Leaders (TL) and High Disease Burden Healthcare Providers (HCP).
  • Engage in meaningful scientific exchange to ensure safe and appropriate use of BMS medicines.
  • Provide medical support and answer scientific inquiries from external stakeholders.
  • Assess the medical landscape and continuously update knowledge in treatment strategies and clinical trials.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration on disease state initiatives and research projects.
  • Attend medical congresses and local meetings to gather insights and support strategy development.
  • Contribute to the development of geography-specific Field Medical and TL Interaction plans.
  • Support interventional and non-interventional research studies and facilitate patient recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with BMS Pharmacovigilance procedures.

Requirements

  • MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific Disease Area or relevant pharmaceutical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Prior MSL experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop peer-to-peer relationships with TLs and HCPs.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and the national healthcare environment.
