About The Position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Oncology at Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals is a field-based expert responsible for engaging in scientific exchange with healthcare providers and thought leaders in the Southeast Texas territory. The role focuses on enhancing the understanding of Ipsen's oncology products, supporting patient outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The MSL will leverage their scientific expertise to respond to inquiries, gather insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support medical strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Doctoral level in the sciences (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursing or equivalent) required.
  • 5 years related MSL work experience required.
  • Oncology MSL experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with product launches and life cycle management.
  • Excellent planning, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with top experts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in synthesizing and communicating medical information.
  • Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG, and compliant medical communications.
  • Understanding of oncology/hematology market dynamics.
  • Excellent project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen's Oncology/Hematology products and therapeutic areas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional thought leaders to understand healthcare trends.
  • Respond to on and off-label inquiries with integrity and compliance.
  • Represent Ipsen at scientific conferences and medical meetings.
  • Gather data and generate scientific insights from stakeholder interactions.
  • Capture scientific insights to share with internal stakeholders.
  • Support investigator sponsored studies and assist with company-sponsored studies.
  • Train and facilitate speakers on Ipsen's products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in committees or project teams supporting MSL strategies.
  • Engage in continuous learning and participate in upskilling programs.
