The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. The UHS HTM Medical Systems Engineering Technologist (MSET I) performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have relationships either owned or contractual. Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program. Works under direct supervision. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service. Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance for the position held. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI's).

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on medical devices.
  • Ensure patient safety and quality of care during service delivery.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders including patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Meet and exceed all regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Assist in developing and strengthening relationships with facilities and vendors.
  • Execute and meet all requirements of established key performance indicators (KPI's).

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience required.
  • Professional Certification preferred.
  • Technical School/2 Years College/Associate's Degree required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
