About the position

The Medical Technologist in the Blood Bank at Temple University Hospital is responsible for performing a variety of laboratory procedures using both manual and automated methods. This role requires a significant degree of independent judgment in the performance and reporting of results, as well as active participation in quality improvement activities within the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures using manual and automated methods.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding the performance and reporting of results.
• Participate in quality improvement activities of the laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits and appropriate experience in a CLIA laboratory (Required).
• 1 year of experience in the relevant laboratory section (Preferred).
• Certification MT(ASCP) or equivalent (Preferred).
