The position is responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing for all patient types in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. The role involves performing waived, moderate, and high complexity tests in accordance with state, federal, and other regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include completing equipment maintenance, quality control, and quality management activities as per manufacturer's recommendations and departmental policies and procedures. The individual must prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility to meet customer and departmental needs. Active participation in process improvement to enhance turnaround times and quality of test results is expected, utilizing decision-making and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and good customer service are essential throughout the health system, including interactions with nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers, and other LMHS customers and employees.
