The Medical Technologist II position involves performing moderate and high complexity testing in various areas of the Laboratory, including Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Microbiology, Serology, and Blood Bank. Key responsibilities include proper patient and specimen identification, adherence to testing policies and procedures, instrument use and troubleshooting, and computer functions. Medical Technologists collaborate closely with Phlebotomists, Medical Technologists, Nursing, and Physicians to provide patient care. This role meets the qualifications for testing personnel performing high complexity testing as specified in C.L.I.A. Subpart M. Sec. 493.1491.
