About the position
The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. This role provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.
- Provide medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in alignment with Mercy's mission and values.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT.
- Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent.
- For Medical Technologist I: Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years clinical experience.
- For Medical Technologist II: Bachelor's degree and certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required.
