About the position
Ottumwa Regional Health Center provides a wide range of health services, including emergency medicine, critical care services, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, and pediatrics, as well as specialty services such as cardiac catheterization, diagnostic and therapeutic radiological services, wound care, pain clinic, sleep lab, pathology, and so much more. The position is responsible for clinical laboratory patient testing to include hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, transfusion medicine and microbiology according to assigned performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical laboratory patient testing in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, transfusion medicine, and microbiology.
- Ensure testing is performed according to assigned performance standards.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Medical Laboratory Technology or related clinical field.
- Graduate of an accredited laboratory training course.
Nice-to-haves
- CLS (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year of preferred experience.
