Medical Technologist or MLT - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital- 0.9 FTE- 3rd Shift

About the position

ProHealth Care Laboratory Services is hiring a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. This position is a 0.9 FTE role primarily covering 2nd and 3rd shift hours across both the Mukwonago and Oconomowoc Laboratory Hospital campuses. The shifts may vary, including hours from 2:00-10:30 pm, 2:30-11:00 pm, 3:00-11:30 pm, and 10:00 pm - 6:30 am. The role is designed to provide additional support and coverage to the on-site teams during times of PTO, training, projects, and FMLA. The position includes approximately every third weekend rotation and up to 2 holidays per year. Training will occur during first shift hours for approximately 3 months before transitioning to second/third shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory.
• Prepare samples for examination using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation.
• Perform numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately evaluate, correlate, and interpret test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Associate's degree in Medical Lab Tech.
• Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Medical Lab Tech (MLT) ASCP certification.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
• Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
• Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
