We are a leading medical facility in Brooklyn, urgently seeking a skilled Hematology Technologist to join our overnight team. Our state-of-the-art laboratory is at the forefront of medical innovation, and we need your expertise to continue delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Performing critical hematology tests with precision and urgency
- Reading slides and reading the different red/white blood cell counts
- Responsible for QC being run and correct
- Validating any abnormalities from slides
- Doing urinalysis microscopy
Requirements
- NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by ASCP or equivalent
- Able to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours
- Professional experience working in hematology
- Comfortable reading slides/ performing manual differentials
