About the position

This medical technologist works as part of a dynamic team to perform routine automated and manual procedures, verify and report test requests, troubleshoot analyzers and test methods, review quality control values and results. Technologists deftly handle phone inquiries from both internal and external customers, call critical value results, and problem solve pre-analytical issues. All employees work under the direction of the division directors, manager and lead technologists.

  • Handle phone inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Call critical value results
  • Problem solve pre-analytical issues

Requirements

  • 4-Year College Degree or higher from a NAACLS accredited program or equivalent
  • Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • ASCP/AMT, MT or MLS Medical Board Certification is required
  • If not certified, must obtain MLS certification within 1 year of hire
  • First board of certification test attempt within the first six months of hire
